Blog # 3: Paraphrase

Original passage 4
Speed is everything on the way to Mars and not only because a seven-month trip in a confined space can be torturous. The bigger problem is that it can be lethal because of radiation exposure in deep space, where the absence of Earth’s magnetic field leaves astronauts far more exposed to deadly cosmic energy than they are in orbit or on the way to the moon.

Paraphrase:
It is essential to focus on the speed to travel to Mars not only because a long journey inside a small narrowed spaceship. The primary issue is that it can be fatal due to the radiation contact in the dark space, and because there is no magnetic area from the Earth which leave the spacemen saturate with this lethal cosmic, similar to the way to the moon. My experience of my job

The hardest stage of the writing is choosing the topic. I am so excited that I am going to post my second blog, but I need a time to think about an attractive subject to write about.
After an hour of deep thinking, I came up with an idea. I am going to write about the experiences that I had from my old job in Saudi Arabia.

I was a shift worker. Usually I had worked 8 hours a day, but my shift was changing every week, from morning to night and from night to afternoon almost for 8 years. But during Ramadan (the holy month), and because of the shortage in the number of employees, I had worked 12 hours a day. I know it was so hard for me and for my family as well for not seeing each other for long time.
During that time, I learned a lot of good things. The company taught me how to be creative. It was encouraging all the employees to come up with new suggestions to improve the work. There were a lot of prizes for a good innovations and suggestions.

Also, the company taught me how to be punctual. Being late even for five minutes was not acceptable at all, and could immediately affect your salary increase. This is because no one could leave the work site until he was relieved by the next shift. I remember many times I stayed working for 16 hours continuously just because my coworker didn’t show up. I learned that time is very important in life.

All the supervisors there were encouraging employees to work as a team. Teamwork is the easiest way to do the work perfectly. Sharing experiences was the important aim for everyone.
I can talk about my job for dozens of pages, but I don’t want my teacher Sonja to be angry with me for exceeding the word limit.

Feel free to post any comments about my blog.
Best wishes,
Hussain Aldawood

My first blog

Hello everyone,

My name is Hussain Aldawood, from the Middle East, precisely from Saudi Arabia. I have been married since 2005, but I don’t like to tell my exact age. I had many things that influenced my entire life. I remember the meaningful experience that affected me last year. My spouse and I sit together discussing our future, immediately after she received an E mail from the Ministry of Higher Education. I couldn’t forget the first sentence in that E mail; “Congratulation, you have been accepted to study a master degree in the United States”.

I can say that it was so challenging for me to quit from my job. By the way, I forgot to mention that; I used to work as a control room operator in one of the natural gas plants in the east coast. My responsibility was to watch more than 10 wide flat screens, and control everything through them. It was really exciting.

I made the hardest step in my entire life by resigning from that company. I believed that studying abroad will make my future better.

A lot of my relatives blamed me about this decision, but I told them that my future will be much better if I get a good degree. I can feel it now, and I am sure that the upcoming days will develop my knowledge and life experience.
